What to do when you feel like you're desperately clinging on to something
Ever feel like you cling desperately onto things?
Like you have a death grip around your goals?
Or a tight fist around what you want in the future?
Maybe it's a certain result… the dream job, house, business, relationship.
Or a certain feeling… certainty, safety, comfort.
Since arriving back in my home city of Toronto, I feel like I've been in a bit of a frenzy.
I'm here for specific reasons, including getting some paperwork done for the next journey of my adventure.
So in the midst of renewing my IDs and filling out paperwork, I noticed something.
I have been clenching so tightly onto the result of why I am here (the outcome I wish to have) that I've forgotten all about the process.
The destination, or the outcome you wish you achieve, is cool and all but what about welcoming in the joy and wisdom that can come from the process?
What about relaxing into the process, and not being all wound up/stressed by the outcome?
I talk to so many entrepreneurs that have amazing dreams and desires for their business.
But then they cling onto those goals so tightly that there is no wiggle room for the flexibility, change, evolution and transformation that will actually help them achieve their goals.
Instead, it becomes forceful. And eventually if you keep forcing something, you start to feel resentful, too.
So what do we do when we catch ourselves clinging desperately to something?
WELCOME IN THE EXHALE.
I've been exploring this personally - and also with those in my studio membership.
And instead of simply explaining it in words, I'd like to share with you a video message on it.
It's a 2-min introduction I offered in a recent session with my members, and I want to share it with you because I'm so passionate about using the practical tool of our breath to support us in life.
I don't want you to just “think” about it.
What I'd like to offer you is the EXPERIENCE of it. To really feel the exhale – way beyond just what your logical mind can make of it.
After you've watched the video, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
How can softening help you achieve your goals?
How can relaxing your “fist/clench” help you in your work / business?
How can just the intention of this can be soft and easy (versus tight and tense) help you right now?
Enjoy the video. I love sharing in this way and will explore more video messages for the future! Stay tuned.
With love,
Victoria
